Your benefits of using SAP Global Trade Services
SAP GTS is SAP’s strategic product for foreign trade – with a full range of functions. New functions in the SAP GTS edition for HANA, a modern user interface design (Fiori) and targeted automation create a market-leading solution for all internationally operating companies. Get an overview of the central functional areas, in which product classification is used as an overarching element:
Compliance Management
Monitor, check and audit your business partners and business transactions:
- Person-related: sanctioned party list screening of persons and organizations. Comparison with boycott lists of authorities worldwide. Release partners and/or documents.
- Country-related: embargo screening to block transactions with defined countries or country groups or regions. Release every document case by case.
- Product-related: legal control as a modular system to combine various screening parameters (classification, country of departure and destination, partner, …). Checks e.g. for dual use or ITAR. Release by licenses.
Customs Management
Automated electronic customs clearance with authorities worldwide and reduction of your manual workload and sources of error. Map exports and imports in third-country traffic in the system. Process registrations and deregistrations for transit traffic. Special customs procedures with and without stock management (outward and inward processing, bonded warehouses) can also be mapped and the associated stocks monitored.
Trade Preference Management
Electronic exchange of long-term supplier‘s declarations with your business partners. Intercompany processing between affiliated companies. BOM or document-based preference calculation to determine the preferential origin of your products in compliance with the law. Identity-based preference processing, e.g. based on batches from the feeder system.
Electronic Compliance Reporting
Malta became the last country in the European Union to be added, meaning that Intrastat declarations can now be submitted from SAP GTS for all EU countries. The functional scope is identical to SAP S/4HANA International Trade module and maintenance as well as further development takes place in parallel in both systems.
