Our trainee program starts in March, July and November. Don’t forget to specify your preferred start date in your application.

It will take you six months to complete the program. As part of the trainee program, you will participate in various training sessions on relevant SAP topics. You will then work on a project together with your fellow trainees and present your results at a final event.

Once you have mastered the SAP project methodology and built a solid foundation in ABAP development, you will continue to deepen your expertise along your chosen career path. As your skills grow, you will apply your knowledge in real projects and gradually take on more responsibility either as an Associate Consultant oder Software Developer.

For training sessions, workshops, and program phases, you will also regularly work at other adesso locations. Therefore, a high willingness to travel is important, and you should be prepared to travel within Germany.

Once you have finished the trainee program, you will start as an Associate Consultant or Software Developer in one of our business lines, such as Utilities & Public, Manufacturing or Cross Industries. You will find out which business line it will be in an interview with the hiring manager.

Please don’t plan your vacation during the trainee program. The program’s content is tightly scheduled and builds step by step, so you would miss important material if you were absent. After completing the program, you can of course plan your vacation as usual.

The first two days of your onboarding take place in Dortmund. During the “Welcome Days,” you’ll learn about our adesso values, get an overview of the company, and meet other new adesso employees. This way, you’ll start your program well-prepared and connected.

You are assigned to a fixed location, but a high level of willingness to travel is required. The program is structured so that you will regularly travel to different adesso locations for training, workshops, and project phases. The training takes place in a hybrid format: some sessions are conducted virtually as interactive online sessions, while others are in-person at one of our locations. You should be prepared to travel within Germany for program phases.

Consultant and Developer Trainees have different areas of focus. As a Developer, you focus more on technical implementation in SAP, such as development with ABAP, user interfaces, or cloud solutions. As a Consultant, your focus is more on processes, requirements, advising clients, and project methodology. Both roles work closely together but have different technical focuses.

Your department is already determined before the start of the trainee program. This way, you know from the very beginning in which professional environment you will be assigned and can prepare specifically for your future role.

You’ll start with us on day one with a permanent employment contract. The trainee program is a clearly structured entry point through which we consistently prepare you for your subsequent role.
